This Summer, I have been working to improve my skills in 3D animation, primarily in texturing and in modeling. Here are some of my works created in Cinema 4D.

Glass Flowers

Glass Flowers was made primarily to understand making realistic, colored glass materials by utilizing the fresnel feature found within the reflection tab. The piece was also helpful in understanding lighting and experimenting with different render settings for Global Illumination and Ambient Occlusion.

Wine and Cheese?

Wine and Cheese? taught me about one of the new features in Cinema 4D R20: Volume Builder. The cheese object was not built via telling the computer to change the object by adding and subtracting shapes. The glass gave further experimentation with glass and lighting. The wine itself is still not perfected and I am planning to work on it further.

The Office

The Office gave me the opportunity to work with C4D’s cloner (The keys and decor both utilize it) and to work on quickly modeling objects by using primatives (computer, pop-ups, pen, and Post-It Notes). The piece also gave me experience with utilizing the physics engine (decor in bowl), the cloth engine (paper by keyboard), and has my first attempt at subsurface scattering (green on cactus).
